In determining need, Berkeley Preparatory School follows NAIS Principles of Good Practice. Financial aid awards are based upon FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment (FACTS) financial assessment of each applicant. It is important to note that Berkeley may not be able to accommodate all financial aid applicants in a given year. Complete applications and required documents received in the 招生 Office by the deadline will receive first priority relative to aid dollars available.

Families currently receiving aid must submit a new financial aid application each year. If the financial circumstances remain the same, the school will make every effort to assist a family at the same level of aid.

• Upload your 2021 and 2022 1040 income tax return(s) with signatures

• Upload a copy of your most recent pay stub(s)

Due to the difficulty in evaluating need using non-US dollars and tax structure, 一个家庭必须支付2022年和2023年的美国学费.S. 纳税申报表 in order to apply for financial aid.

Recognizing that each parent bears a responsibility for financing a student’s education, financial information from all family members is required. Custodial and non-custodial parents (regardless of legal settlements, 离婚的人, 分离, or never married) must submit their own Financial Aid application. The Financial Aid Committee will consider all household assets in determining need.

Financial aid is an award based on a family’s demonstrated need, 由FACTS计算决定, 纳税申报表, 以及棋牌游戏平台的财政援助委员会. Financial aid is an award, not a loan, and therefore, is not paid back to the school.

“Demonstrated need” is defined as the difference between the annual tuition and the amount a family can be expected to contribute to the cost of the student’s education. The Financial Aid application and 纳税申报表 are used to determine need.
